Custom Designs from Created by Shari

417346_the_spoon_or_fork

Creating custom designs from any family's heirloom silverware is a unique service Shari Cabra offers through fine gift shops and jewlery stores that carry her Created by Shari line of jewelry.

A dinner fork from Grandma's silver can be transformed into a distinctive easel for Dad's business card; an exquisite pendant can be crafted from a beautiful cranberry spoon. Even a silver baby spoon can become a favorite ring to be worn and treasured by an adult for years to come.

If you carry items from the Created by Shari line, let your customers know they can submit requests for custom work through your store. Shari can recreate any of the items in her line from your customers' own silverware.

Ask for custom design order forms when you place your wholesale order. Your customers will be thrilled that you provide this extra service.

Castaways of the Islands

Here's another exciting company that I represent. Read what owner Joyce Seban has to say about creating her unique products.

nav_logo
joyceI am a native of Chicago and lived for several years on St. Simons Island, Georgia. There on those white sandy shores I came to realize that folks who visited wanted some way to remember their special time. My unique sand designs gave them that opportunity.

Sand casting is an age-old art form which begins by pressing an object into the sand. The impression that remains is filled with plaster, then cures for several days. The result is a three dimensional ornament with sand as its coating.

The ornament line includes nature and sea themes and a bit of the whimsical Christmas spirit. A recent move to the shores of New Hampshire has proven that no matter what shore you are visiting, a reminder of that special place and time is always appreciated.

Fabulous Recipes, Food Tips, and Ideas for Easy Entertaining

Tell your customers to visit the Three Angels Gourmet Co. online for daily food tips, recipes, and ideas for easy entertaining. Here's a sample of the types of recipes they'll find there:

Easy Insalata Caprese
from Suzanne Lieurance
Owner, Three Angels Gourmet Co.

It's tomato time! And, if you're a gardener, you might be wondering what you can do with all those luscious tomatoes growing in your backyard right now. One of the easiest, yet most delicious, dishes to enjoy at the height of summer, when tomatoes are plentiful, is Insalata Caprese (named for the Island of Capri, Italy). The secret to this delightful dish is using only the freshest ingredients.

caprese

When served with fresh bread and a glass of chilled white wine, Insalata Caprese makes the perfect summer lunch. Here's all you need:

2 lbs. vine-ripened tomatoes that are red, juicy and flavorful and have never been refrigerated (Get them at your local farmer's market if you don't have your own backyard vegetable garden)

8 to 10 leaves of fragrant young basil (Again, check for basil at your farmer's market if you don't grow your own)

1 lb. good quality fresh, moist mozzarella (The best mozzarella for this dish is made from buffallo milk - mozzarella di bufala - but that's hard to find, so cow's milk mozzarella - mozzarella fior di latte - works well for this, too)

1/4 c. genuine extra-virgin olive oil

caprese2

To make the salad:

Slice the fresh mozzarella and the tomatoes into rounds. Alternate slices of mozzarella and tomato on a platter (or individual salad plates), overlapping them for effect.

Tear the basil leaves into small pieces and sprinkle them over the slices of tomato and mozzarella.

Add salt and freshly ground pepper to taste. Just before serving, drizzle with olive oil.

That's it! I told you it was easy.

Here's another informative article from jewelry designer, Shari Cabra.

Practical and Pretty Gifts Your Bridesmaids Will Love
by: Shari Cabra
Created by Shari

472162_giftsSummer is a popular time to get married. Right now, many couples are busy preparing for their big day. Brides are selecting flowers, their cakes, and special friends to be bridesmaids.

As her wedding day approaches, one of the bride's last responsibilities is selecting a gift for each one of these special friends. And, it's always nice to give them something that is both practical and pretty.

Here are some gifts any bridesmaid would love to have:

Enameled Boxes

So practical for organizing earrings and rings or just to dress up a table. Now available in many colors and patterns, and even cute critter-shaped boxes for animal lovers. Google the words, "enameled boxes" to find oodles of sites that offer them for sale.

Engraved Stationary

Yes, people still write letters. Though so many corners of the world are accessible by plane, cell phones are useless. In the end, sending a letter is the only practical solution to bringing a friend or family member up-to-date, or maybe just sending a note of thanks. It's a nice touch to any correspondence when someone writes on pretty engraved stationary.

Wraps

Such a practical piece of clothing for a cool evening on the town or watching the sunset at the beach. Soft rayon blends and delicate silk wraps are so pretty when embroidered with a delicate design or have a beaded fringe. Any bridesmaid would love a soft wrap to snuggle into on a chilly night.

Jewelry

What could be more practical than a gorgeous pair of earrings or a lovely pendant? And nothing comes in so many pretty colors and designs than jewelry. All you really need to know is your bridesmaids' tastes and it's easy to find special pieces of jewelry for them.

Bridesmaids usually help a bride make her wedding day perfect. Give your bridesmaids pretty, yet practical, gifts and they'll probably even think about you as they use them.

Delicious Recipes, Food Tips, and Serving Suggestions from the Three Angels Gourmet Co

Be sure to tell your customers to visit the Three Angels Gourmet Co. online for delicious recipes, food tips, and serving suggestions for those "heavenly gourmet mixes" they purchase from you.

These attractive cucumber and salmon appetizers are a snap to make with a package of Divine Dill Dip Mix from the Three Angels Gourmet Co. Simply add cream cheese or sour cream to the dip mix.

If you haven't placed your order for Divine Dill Dip Mix, check out the special offer below.

DSC04358

DILLICIOUS CUCUMBER & SALMON APPETIZERS

1/2 pkg. Divine Dill Dip Mix

1 c. sour cream OR 4 oz. cream cheese

1 large cucumber

1 pkg. (about 3 oz.) smoked salmon

Fresh dill or canned pimento

Combine the sour cream or cream cheese and Divine Dill Dip Mix and refrigerate for at least an hour, so the onions in the dip mix will soften and the flavors will blend with the sour cream or cream cheese.

Slice a large cucumber in half. With a vegetable peeler, peel the length of each cucumber, leaving narrow strips of the peel intact (see photo). Cut the cucumber into 1 to 2 inch slices, then make a little cup out of each piece of cucumber by hollowing out a bit of the cucumber. Put about a teaspoon of the dill dip mixture into the hollow space of each cucumber. Cut a small piece (about 2 inches or so) of smoked salmon and roll it up. Place the rolled salmon on top of the dill dip mixture that is inside the cucumber slice. Garnish with a little minced dill or a small piece of canned pimento. Cover with plastic wrap and chill until ready to serve.

What's Going on at the Three Angels Gourmet Co.?

Heavenlyjambars

"Heavenly gourmet mixes" from the Three Angels Gourmet Co. make perfect gifts. So it's no wonder we're adding more gift shops (in more states) to our customer list every day. Currently, Three Angels Gourmet Co. products are sold in stores in 40 states across the country.

One of the things I like most about repping for this company is that the owners don't strive to develop the BIGGEST line of gourmet mixes out there today. They just want to have the BEST line of gourmet mixes available anywhere. For that reason, every single product they create is tested and sampled, and tested and sampled again and again, before it makes its way into the product line that I present to customers like you.

Right now I have word that the "angels" are working on developing a new flavored brownie mix for Fall. If you know how delicious their current brownie flavors ( Amaretto and Raspberry) are, then you're probably just as excited about this news as I am.

I promise to keep you posted and give you more information about this new product as soon as I have it.

So stay tuned to this blog.

PICKING THE PERFECT SALES REP

281222_subtotal

Here's an article I hope you find useful as you build your business.
Shari Cabra -Created by Shari

Picking the perfect person to sell your products to store owners and other businesses is very important when you're trying to build a successful company. If you own a business with a small line of products, or even just one original product, chances are, you need a sales representative, also known as a sales rep.

There are many sales reps available all over the country. But, when you're trying to pick the perfect sales rep for your products or services, look for:

1. Someone who is willing to pound the pavement and visit stores to show and talk up your products. This kind of rep is known as a road rep. A showroom rep will present your products to wholesale customers who come to buy items in a showroom. But you'd probably be better off with a road rep. A road rep will also attend trade shows in other states for you.

2. Someone who truly believes in your products and is enthusiastic about selling them. You want someone who creates excitement about your products and motivates customers to purchase them.

3. Someone who will provide excellent service to your customers. A good sales rep is willing to make follow-up calls, get promotional materials into the hands of customers, and is also available to check on the status of orders. Having this kind of rep is especially important if you’re trying to expand your business. If potential customers don’t receive follow-up calls and do not receive brochures or other sales information, then they can't place orders.

4. Someone who dresses and conducts himself in a professional manner. Your rep should also be friendly and personable. This makes potential customers comfortable and more willing to try your products.

5. Someone who is good at communicating with customers and relating this information to you. Knowing what your customers think about your products, and what other products they might need, will help you develop similar products and modify existing ones.

Keep these qualities in mind when you start looking for your perfect sales rep. If you take the time to pick someone who is perfect for your business you'll be more likely to develop a good working relationship with this person who will promote and sell your products.

JAZZ UP YOUR WARDROBE WITH BEADS, BOBBLES, RHINESTONES, AND CRYSTALS
by Shari Cabra

Flip through the pages of that fashion catalogue you just received and you'll find summer blouses embroidered with beads, sequins, and rhinestones. Skim through the pages with sandals displayed and you'll discover many are adorned with chunky glass and metal bobbles. Even ladies accessories - everything from watches to sparkly bracelets, earrings, and necklaces - are decorated with shiny crystals.

This season it seems that everything is embellished with beads, bobbles, rhinestones, and crystals. Unfortunately, most of us don't have the financial means to purchase an entirely new wardrobe every year to reflect the newest fashion craze. But that's okay.

Do you have a favorite item of clothing, or an accessory, you love but think is out-of-date? Rather than give away this item, or throw it out, why not revamp it with embellishments? It's fun and easy. Here's how:

A jeans jacket is timeless and can easily take on a new look with a few changes. Even if your jacket is faded, embroider a simple pattern of beads along the collar and cuffs to get new mileage out of it. If you prefer rhinestones, Swarovski Crystals offers sew-on products. These crystals are enclosed in a setting that allows a needle and thread through the back. Just sew them on as you would a button. Don't sew? Both beads and rhinestones can be attached to your garment using special glues available for these kinds of projects.

Give your old sandals a new look with metal studs or add a splash of color with rhinestones. Using gem setting devices (found at your local crafts store) you can clamp both metal studs and rhinestones through tough materials like leather. If your sandals are plastic, glue the embellishments onto them.

Nothing is easier to make over than a purse. It doesn't matter if it's fabric or leather, you can quickly modify purses made of either material. Spiff up a purse by tacking a few studs onto the handle or gluing a pattern of beads or rhinestones onto the bag itself. Or, just hang a few bobbles from the strap. Do an online search for the words "beads" or "crystals" and see numerous sites pop up that offer these items for purchase. With such a variety of trimmings available, it's simple to give a face-lift to an old, yet beloved, purse.

The possibilities are endless when it comes to revamping pieces of your wardrobe. And, with so many handy tools and fantastic embellishments available and reasonably priced, anyone can do it.

Now...just flip through the pages of that latest fashion catalogue for ideas, get your supplies, and have fun.

You Don't Need a Crystal Ball to Know Crystals Are Everywhere This Season!

image003This summer parade through the shoe department of your favorite clothing store and you'll probably discover sandals adorned with beads, bangles and crystals. Swing through the purse aisle and you're likely to find sparkly sequins and crystals adorning this season's bags and carry-alls. Drop by the accessory counter to admire sparkly bracelets, earrings, and necklaces fashioned from, or embellished with, crystals.

If it glitters, women seem to want it. That's why jewelry designer, Shari Cabra, has embraced this trend in her exclusive line Created by Shari. Many of her earrings, pins, watches, and necklaces glitter with Swarovski Crystals. Says Shari, "Swarovski Crystals add that sparkle ladies love and since the crystals come in so many colors, women can coordinate their accessories and outfits according to their favorite hue of crystals."
